Global Food Innovation Fund II
The Global Food Innovation Fund II invests in the most innovative companies around the world focused on proteins, fats, ingredients, sweeteners, flavorings, and mono-crops. Working with founders, corporate leaders, government, mentors and investors, we develop ecosystems to improve food security and food sustainability. The fund also runs global accelerator programs in New York, Paris and Singapore, for early-stage companies to build, test and prepare for growth.
GFIF II is building on the success of the New Protein Fund I – our first foodtech fund through which we have invested in more than 100+ companies across 25 countries.
Our Goal With the Global Food Innovation Fund II
Our food production system today is a leading driver of climate change, deforestation, antibiotic resistance, and habitat destruction. With increasing instability and the population expected to hit nearly 10B by 2050, we need to innovate to provide adequate food and nutrition to all in the coming years. At BIV, we believe that entrepreneurs, scientists and engineers have the answers to our biggest challenges and we need to allocate our resources to realizing these global solutions. Our goal is to support the most innovative minds to deliver sustainable and scalable food solutions for our future generations
Collaboration is essential to transform our global food system and tackle the opportunities that lie ahead of us. The Global Food Innovation Fund II is designed to benefit corporates, build innovation ecosystems and facilitate collaborations between founders and industry leaders.
Our Thesis Area
We are always looking for major institutional investors, family offices and multinationals worldwide who want to be in on the action in this food industry revolution. With teams in New York City, Paris, and Singapore, we would love to discuss how our funds can deliver the financial returns plus the environmental impact that this sector offers.
