About The Role:
Orbillion Bio is looking to hire an Associate Research Scientist to join their rapidly growing R&D team in the cellular agriculture field. This role is seeking an entry to mid-professional with a proven track record in cell biology, cell culture, microscopy, and flow cytometry. A successful candidate will possess a M.S. with experience in the described skill sets, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, pivot research goals according to the company’s interests, and successfully reach milestones according to timelines.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Ability to maintain mammalian cell culture including isolation, expansion, and cryopreservation of cells
- Establishing mammalian cell line platforms, including isolation of stem cells and primary cells from tissues and defining differentiation and expansion protocols
- Conduct literature searches in relevant scientific journals to optimize scientific approaches ● Communicate project status effectively with team members
- Analyze and report data in scientific meetings
- Detailed record keeping of daily scientific activities
Required skills And Experience
- Strong background in cell biology topics including cell cycle, proliferation, differentiation, and cellular adhesion
- Proficient in sterile aseptic handling of mammalian cells
- Prepare laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) as needed ● Implement process improvement measures as it applies to research projects ● Desire to work as a team player and build a diverse, collaborative, and kind work environment
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and deliver against timelines and competing priorities ● A positive attitude that embraces the challenges and opportunities of a dynamic and multidisciplinary startup environment
- M.Sc. in biological science, life science, or related field or a B.Sc. with 3+ years of industry experience
- Experience in cell culture, cell biology and wet-lab work
- Authorization to work in the US

- Experience in flow cytometry and microscopy
- Assay development experience
- BSL-1 and BSL-2 Training
