Downtown Brooklyn Partnership
Director of Network (building a tech community in and around Downtown Brooklyn)
1. Connections. Between my current job and my previous three years as a reporter covering the Brooklyn tech scene I have about as good a knowledge of this part of the world as any, the VCs, the founders, the incubators, movers and shakers, etc.
2. Comms. I'd be happy to help companies communicate with the press in a way that's actually effective and doesn't annoy reporters, a failing of many PR people.
3. Farming experience. This is the least of them, but I did work on a farm last year as a farmhand, and gained some knowledge that could be useful maybe. This was organic dirt farming, so probably less applicable to indoor farming and the like.
